QUOTES, REFLECTIONS If you kill one honest man, it is as if you have killed all of humanity - Quran 5:32 From The Journalist and The Jihad: The Murder of Daniel Pearl, HBO, 2006 The Snare of Zare: The Great Divide refers to a fictitious parallel universe called Zare, which is a black sun universe in competition with a Homo sapiens one.  It represents a division of belief systems and approaches to life across a wall of dimensions.  As such, there is a fight for dominance between war mongers, terrorists and cartels on one side and just folk on the otherThe snare refers to strings and webs used to snag and bleed just folk of its essence. FOURTH AMENDMENT Search and Seizure:  The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized. STANDING MILITARY FORCE “A standing military force, with an overgrown Executive will not long be safe companions to liberty.” – James Madison, Constitutional Convention (1787). From article in The Guardian by Hank Johnson: President Trump is Giving Police Forces Weapons of War.  This is Dangerous. WHO IS WATCHING THE WATCHERS? A citizenry not asking questions is doomed. CHURCH AND STATE SEPARATION Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between Man and his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legitimate powers of government reach actions only, and not opinions….the legislature should make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, thus building a wall of separation between Church and State. --Thomas Jefferson, January 1, 1802 (From an insert provided by au.org, Americans United) TOWARD ESSENCE, NOT FIXATION Spirituality: if you have to force it, sell it or sneak it in the back door, you don’t have it. Although the values of compassion and brotherhood in it are worthy, the Jesus story is likely an eclectic mix of a possible real historical figure and earlier myths.  Getting rid of Jesus does not deny one of the most spiritual aspirations of mankind.  People seem to hook into the Jesus story for fear other options are not available for soulful continuity and salvation.  The truth is, goodness, compassion and kindness to one another are what we allow and make it.  A point of fixation such as that centered on any one being, like Jesus or Mohammed, can withdraw our energy and focus from widespread acts of kindness which require no enlistment, sales pitch or force.  Religious focal points can be a type of ego projection. Once we try to make everyone the same, through either non-religious Communism or religiously controlled cities and national governments, we lose the essence of the deeper human qualities which make lives better.  Sometimes what seems like religious governance is actually a non-religious tyrant sneaking in the back door.  As people become more fixated, more ego driven through group identification, the more likely a hostile force can manipulate those focal points and identities.  The outer religious aspects can be used as a mask while quietly shifting the inner mechanisms for personal gain and power, much like a different species of mollusk dons another snail’s shell.  We don’t need a Jesus, Mohammed or Marx to be good or to be a practical society; what we need are discernment and caution while retaining compassion and the desire for voluntary peace without oppression.  Nurtured and loved children make nurtured and loved nations. --The Golden River RELIGIOUS FREEDOM Religious freedom is the right to believe and practice your religion as your conscience dictates; it is not the right to impose your religious beliefs on others…If your church hierarchy opposes abortion, don’t have one.  If your religious dogma teaches that homosexual marriage is a sin, don’t marry someone of the same sex.  But your freedom to live as you choose is the same freedom that allows others to live as they choose.” -12/22/2016, a letter by the Reverend Dr. Neal Jones, president of the Americans United Board of Trustees GET RID OF THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE WHICH USURPS OUR VOTING RIGHTS “Fight Them With Their Own Weapons” On one way China was helping North Vietnam during the Vietnam War, Chinese Premier Chou En-lai told the president of Egypt in 1965: "Some [American troops] are trying opium, and we are helping them. We are planting the best kinds of opium especially for American soldiers in Vietnam...Do you remember when the West imposed opium* on us? They fought war with opium. We are going to fight them with their own weapons."  Facts and Details:  http://factsanddetails.com/southeast-asia/Vietnam/sub5_9c/entry-3414.html#chapter-3 Mexican Official Threatens To Combat President Trump By Unleashing Drug Cartels …Cartels could be essentially unleashed upon the U.S. – retribution for tough policies on Mexico and other immigrant-producing countries in the Latin American world.  These astonishing words could open up an economic gang war against the U.S. –  very irresponsible words that reveal just how connected Mexico’s leadership is with the violent drug cartels who operate from their territories:… the drugs that come through Mexico from South America, or the drugs that are produced here in Mexico all go to the United States. This is not our problem. We have been cooperating with the United States for many years on these issues because they’ve asked us to and because we have a friendly, trustful relationship. If that relationship disappears, the reasons for cooperation also disappea…Mexico would consider exporting chaos and violence into the United States as a form of payback for immigration restrictions and control…Out of bitterness or desperation, or a mix of both, Mexico’s finest would apparently weaponize their most brutal elements and deliberately send them North to sow chaos – only proving the reasons for controlling the border and reigning in the deterioration of the U.S. standard of living that has been going on for such a long time now. Foreign traders (primarily British) had been illegally exporting opium mainly from India to China since the 18th century, but that trade grew dramatically from about 1820. The resulting widespread addiction in China was causing serious social and economic disruption there. In March 1839 the Chinese government confiscated and destroyed more than 20,000 chests of opium—some 1,400 tons of the drug—that were warehoused at Canton (Guangzhou) by British merchants. The antagonism between the two sides increased a few days later when some drunken British sailors killed a Chinese villager. The British government, which did not wish its subjects to be tried in the Chinese legal system, refused to turn the accused men over to the Chinese courts. https://www.britannica.com/topic/Opium-Wars
